Centrecare is pleased to advise that Perth Financial Counsellor Robert Evans has been nominated for a 2021 Community Services Excellence Awards in the Above and Beyond category.
Robert has been a Financial Counsellor for over 24 years and over this time has worked tirelessly to improve the services and resources available for people most vulnerable in the community.
This has involved collaboration with local and state government departments while President of the Financial Counsellors Association Western Australia (FCAWA). It has also meant collaborating with state utility providers to review, develop and improve hardship programs for their consumers. Robert has also worked extensively within the financial counsellor’s network state wide and nationally in this role.
Robert's achievements are outstanding throughout his career and he has tirelessly championed the rights of many groups and to the support he provides to his clients. Robert is not afraid to lead the charge when it comes to improving the lives of people and community. The legacy he leaves behind will be one of fighting for what’s right, and creating positive change regardless of the work involved.
Award winners will be announced at the Community Services Excellence Awards presentation ceremony on Tuesday 23 February 2021, 7.30pm to 8.30pm at the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle.
