Through its annual 'Festival of Hearts' of course!
Centrecare is well established in WA for its work in assisting those in need; from counselling and youth services to early interventions and relationship advice. The professional and specialised help that is offered at Centrecare is accessible all year round. However, on St Valentine’s Day, residents can experience Centrecare’s generosity and community spirit through its annual Festival of Hearts.
In its 11th year, the Festival of Hearts is intended to remind people about the importance of all relationships. Research has shown healthy family and social relationships have a positive impact on individual psychological and emotional wellbeing, resulting in strengthening people and communities. This event is popular in the community, with many surprised peopleFestival of Hearts thankful for a very generous and kind gesture. Our staff also enjoy spending time with local people and look forward to this event every year.
“Our St Valentine’s Day event is one way in which Centrecare recognises the importance of individuals and families coming together to celebrate healthy relationships. It is an amazing gift to give to people in our communities” said Tony Pietropiccolo AM, Director of Centrecare.
On the 14th February, Centrecare staff will be distributing free roses, cards, balloons and lollies to passers-by to give to someone they love in the spirit of St Valentine’s Day. This could be a partner, a parent, a child, a friend or a family member.
